I cannot wait to see it! However, the hype and huge marketing push leaves this ALL-Star cast with HIGH expectations to exceed!

I have already lined up a "Ladies Night" with dinner and a movie Friday, April 20th, 2012! As soon as I know you will! Stay tuned!

******the REVIEW******

Well, its official! Our first "Must SEE" movie! Kevin Hart did an excellent job providing comic relief throughout the movie while also bringing the story together full circle as Cedric. Not to mention, the surprise guests definitely added to the comic relief as well as the sexy factor that was already potent among this all-star cast. The comedy in this movie was so good that there was no way they could show all of the scenes in the previews. However, I would say initially some of the character's roles were over exaggerated but eventually became more practical. The acting was great because they were able to capture their audience and make them connect to the characters. For instance, when Candace went to visit Michael's (Terrence J) mother for the first time everyone in the audience seemed to sympathize with her as she witnessed first hand the dynamics of the unbreakable mother-son duo. Additionally, the movie brought up some real life situations that both men and women encounter such as mo money mo problems vs the dream team-broke phi broke (WE Ain't Got IT!), 90 day wait vs Just give me the Cookie, and Us vs Yo Mama!

The music selection throughout the movie was great! From Jodeci to John Legend this movie left you humming on the way home and hopeful that the right person would soon swept you off your feet. I would say by the time I went to see this movie the Jennifer Hudson song had grown on me.

If you LOVE to laugh then I would definitely recommend this movie to you. However, you cannot have one without the other, romance is sure to follow so watch out if you are scared of the inevitable.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
*Action*Fantasy*Thriller
(Originally a comic book series by Marvel)

Director: Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor
Cast: Nicholas Cage, Ciaran Hinds, & Idris Elba

Johnny Blaze is BACK! Johnny Blaze, a rebel stunt-devil motorcycle rider who sold his soul to the devil to "save his father's life" tries to run from his curse by traveling the world. Until he wakes up in Moreau's, Idris Elba, city and is offered a chance to redeem his soul.

I have enjoyed this series! I honestly have not seen a horrible Nicholas Cage movie yet! However for a $1 movie this was definitely not a waste for me. In this movie Nicholas Cage does a great job at humanizing a character who was created for evil purposes. Nicholas humanizes his character well through his interactions with charming yet cunning Danny. Leaving Johnny's audience hoping that he will figure out how to save Danny from losing his soul forever! My favorite scene is when Johnny Blaze turned the construction site machine into the ultimate "Mortal Kombat" fatality death! The graphics for this scene were very detailed and it was not overly computer generated. Let's just say if I was in that movie I would have left as soon as I saw Johnny get back up from the first attempt to demolish him!

Redbox it or $1 movie it! Since it came out in the US Feb 2012 it is not at the main theaters but its worth seeing. I recommend catching up on the series during a laid back weekend!

LOCKOUT (2012)
*Action*Thriller*Sci-Fi
Director(s): James Mather, Stephen St. Leger
Cast: Guy Pearce, Maggie Grace, & Peter Stormare

Guy Pearce - aka Snow, a take no mess government official, is wrongly convicted and forced to spend his sentence in a newly created outer space prison. Snow ends up trying to clear his name by taking on an assignment he cannot refuse.

Right now, this is the best action and suspense movie out! However this movie is regular. Although, there are a few twist, some scenes and concepts are predictable. Also, some of the graphics in this movie were horrible! Unfortunately, instead of enhancing the scenes it distracted me by making me think back to the graphics used in 80s horror movies. But if you love movies and you want something to watch that will engage most audiences this is the movie for you! Hydell, Joseph Gilgun, does an excellent job portraying a deranged ex-con! He makes you hate him and sympathize with him as he seeks the power and attention he so desperately desires. Also, Pearce wasn't ranked one of E's sexiest men for nothing! He seduces women with his mix of swag, charm, and sarcasm! While also maintaining the action component that keeps most men entertained and ALL viewers watching.

*regular = ok / average
*swag = captivating presence
